Two of my favorite hobbies in this world are computer programming and barbecue.  This place is what happens when the two hobbies meet.  When I first started smoking meat on a regular basis, I got tired of babysitting the smoker all night long.  As a result I've spent the last couple of years learning about temperature control and have built a few systems that allow me to control my smokers from my computer.

 

This site will chronicle all of these processes and at some point provide the opportunity to share them.

Yea, I'm still here.  I just noticed that it was nearly a year since I last posted to the blog.  I've been getting tons of messages on the comment line lately and has been a nice treat talking to each of you.  Thanks for taking the time to leave messages.  As for the control project, I've been tweaking stuff in the background, but haven't made much progress getting the shareware copies out yet.  As the smoking season starts ramping up (I never stopped, not sure about you guys) I'll try to get something wrapped up for the general public.

As for the web site, I've started to add some of the recipes that I have posted on various forums.  Take a look and let me know what you think,
